刚刚打电话给美国这的IBM（Lenovo）售后服务，港水的T42顺利质保。

这台机器是04年出国前在香港拖大学同学买的IBM 学生机。已经使用3年了（3年质保还有2个星期就过期了），伴随我一路转战大江南北，世界各地。从来没有出现过问题。也许是由于我使用光驱太多的缘故，最近2个月无法刻录CD了，读CD的声音也非常大。所以不得已给美国这边IBM（Lenovo）的1－800－426－7378售后打电话要求更换。电话一通，先是一通语音提示，选菜单什么的，然后转为人工服务。电话接通一听就知道是一个老黑，说话跟唱Rap似的（虽然打电话前朋友提醒我可能遇到老黑，没想到还真遇到了，多希望是个MM接电话啊）。虽然说的又快，发音又别扭，不过还是听的懂。一路下来问了很多机器的Type & SN号码，Part No啊什么的，然后他去系统里面查有没有这个设备的备案，如果查到了，继续问是不是个人使用，以及姓名，电话，住址之类。根本不要任何证明或者 Invoice。然后听你叙述问题，如果他认为的确是硬件问题，他会去查库房是不是有货。随后他告诉我由于现在是backorder，需要库房去调货，所以只能保证5天以内会尽快把新光驱送到我家里，我只要等着就好。然后告诉我一个Case No，以后可以打电话回查进度状况。最后祝我周末愉快Thanks for calling IBM。希望过几天可以顺利拿到配件。

有生以来第一次给售后打电话，印象还不错。就是老黑的口音让人听着比较耗精神，需要集中精力。

给大家的建议：
1。如果不嫌IBM的贵（有些人还认为黑黑的挺丑），那么出国前买个港水的IBM带到国外不会有保修问题。根本不像国内保修要发票，甚至护照什么的。港水的价格和美国差不多，而且还可以验机，美国是不能验的（相信在美国有online shopping后退货经历的，都会头疼死，相比超市和商店退货麻烦太多了）。而且在国内还可以方便把所有需要的软件全部装好，包括换操作系统。
2。打800电话注意听，自己说话要语速适中且清晰。由于老黑说话像Rap一样，所以搞的我语速也非常快，结果老黑让我Slow down，说他输入速度跟不上。报过的信息还要重新报一遍。
3。打电话前先把你要更换的部件的part No，机器的Type和SN都准备好，这个是需要用的。如果你的机器不需要返厂维修或者检测，他们会把更换部件寄给你自己安装，否则他们应该是会发个IBM付费的箱子给你装好返厂的。
4。IBM机器可以通过打电话来extend warranty的。不过这个需要钱的。如果你的机器不是3年保，那么一定延一下，对你有好处。
5。IBM的品质有保证的，即使现在被Lenovo收购，但是论整体品质还是无人能出其右的。全球联保也很方便。

上面这些请记住，至少放在手边（最好还是记住），以后你打电话不管是保修还是和保险打交道，当需要报自己的保险号或者序列号之类的需要用到这种说法。而且对方说序列号吗让你确认的时候也是这么说的哦。你需要习惯一下先。

听老美的一些电话留言，你想不到的幽默

以下几则特别的Answer体现了美国人的幽默，你能体会出其幽默所在吗？
1) My wife and I can't come to the phone right now, but if you'll leave your name and number, we'll get back to you as soon as we're finished.
2) Hi. This is John. If you are the phone company, I already sent the money. If you are my parents, please send money. If you are my financial aid institution, you didn't lend me enough money. If you are my friends, you owe me money. If you are a female, don't worry, I have plenty of money.
3) Hi, I'm not home right now but my answering machine is, so you can talk to it instead. Wait for the beep（beep：主人的Answer讲完以后，Answer Machine会发出一声beep,这时候来电话者就可以开始留言了。）.
4) Hi! John's answering machine is broken. This is his refrigerator. Please speak very slowly, and I'll stick your message to myself with one of these magnets（磁铁）. 注：通常情况下，来电话者面对录音讲话都不太自然，所以语言往往很急促，三句两句话就完了。这可苦坏了接听留言的主人，听多少遍都听不清留言者到底是谁，讲了些什么。对于母语非英文的人，这种感觉会更深。所以，以下这两段幽默干脆就首先告诉电话拨入者，我的Answer Machine不好使，你且慢慢来。
